    We have gone cashless and cardless at the gate for 2025. All admission passes will be purchased through our mobile ticket system. Spectators will scan their mobile ticket at the gate to get in each day. Discounted Early Bird passes will be available prior to the start of this event. To purchase your admission passed for this event, please select the gate admission pass button at the top of this page.

Opening Ceremony Itinerary

World Series Opening Ceremonies/ Skills Competition
Wednesday July 9th, 2025.

Welcome to the 2025 USSSA World Series! We are excited to have all of you participate in this event. There will be three skills competition opportunities for your players to participate in at the Opening Ceremonies: Round the Horn, Base running, and Home Run Derby. We will have a Home Run Derby available for $20 a player. Prizes will be given out for each event to the winners in each age group.

Timeline – Home Run Derby will start at 4:30pm – Teams will be assigned a time to participate in this event.
Skills Competitions will Start at 5pm
Parade of teams will follow the conclusion of the skills competition at 8pm on The Landing Field.
We will start lining teams up for the parade at 7:15pm
The Parade of teams will kick off with skydivers delivering the game ball at 7:50pm!

Location – Capitol Federal Sports Complex, Liberty, MO

‘Round The Horn’ Skilz Competition – 5 Players
Five players from each team will be allowed to participate.
The participants will take the positions of (1B, 2B, 3B, SS, C)
The goal is to complete a sequence of throws in the infield as fast as possible.
The catcher will start the time by throwing it to 3B, 3B will then throw to 2B, 2B to SS, SS to 1B, and 1B back to the catcher to stop time.
Time will not stop for any reason, and the throws must be completed in this order.
Each team will be allotted one trial run before having their official time recorded.

Base Running Skilz Competition – Open to all players
Any player not participating in another skills competition is allowed to participate.
We will time players home to home times

Home Run Derby – (Limited to 2 Players per team)
Each team will be assigned a time for their team to participate in the HR Derby
Those time assignments will be sent out by 7/4. 

There will be a $20 admission fee to participate in the Home Run Derby
Fences will be brought in close
Each participant will be given 45 seconds to hit as many homeruns as possible

Base Running – The Landing Field
Around the Horn – Margarita’s Field

Refund Policy

Refund Policy: Teams will be charged a $100 cancellation in the event they cancel at least 2 weeks prior to the start of the tournament. The cancellation must be in writing and sent by the team’s head coach. If a team does not give a 2-week notice in writing they will forfeit the entire entry and gate fee. (Teams should allow for 4 to 6 weeks to receive tournament refund).

Refund schedule due to cancellation for KC Sports and MO/KAN State Tournaments:
NO Games Played = Entry Fee minus 15% administration fee. Full refund of gate fee.
NO Games Played For Memorial Day Super NIT=Entry Fee Minus 25% administration fee. Full refund of gate fee.
1 Game Played = 50% of entry and gate fee.
No refunds after a team has started its second game of the tournament.

Park Rules

Park Rules – Capitol Federal Sports Complex

In order to ensure our ability to hold events at this facility we need your help in enforcing the park policies.

  • Teams are encouraged to warmup outside the the complex.(only exception is the first games of the day and they will use the outfield grass)
  • There is plenty of area around the complex. DO NOT USE THE SOCCER FIELDS
  • Players, coaches and fans are encouraged to bring hand sanitizer and antibacterial wipes for disinfecting hands and equipment regularly.

· No sunflower seeds or peanuts. Anyone with seeds or peanuts will be asked to leave the facility.

 

  • No gum allowed in the facility.
  • NO METAL CLEATS ALLOWED AT CAPITOL FEDERAL SPORTS COMPLEX
  • All participating players MUST be on your online USSSA roster as a permanent or guest player.
  • 14U can use -5 or BBCOR Bats
  • No dogs allowed at any of our parks.
  • NO DH allowed for ages 9 thru 14
